Samarinda – PT Insani Baraperkasa (PT IBP) leverages National Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Month 2026 as a strategic turning point to strengthen the safety culture across its operations. Embracing the national theme “Building a Professional, Reliable, and Collaborative OHS Management Ecosystem,” the company commits to fundamental improvements in its safety management system to address the complex risks inherent in the mining sector.
Mine Engineering Manager (KTT) of PT Insani Baraperkasa, Saprianto, emphasized that this commemoration is far more than an annual ceremonial event—it’s a national moment of reflection to reaffirm the company’s dedication to workforce protection. PT IBP’s primary focus for 2026 is transitioning from fragmented approaches to an integrated, proactive safety ecosystem.
“Workplace accidents serve as a loud alarm signaling gaps in our systems, not merely technical failures. Therefore, OHS must be implemented through comprehensive changes in mindset and work practices, moving beyond reactive measures,” Saprianto asserted.
Saprianto has directed all departments to heighten vigilance across all operational lines. He stressed the critical importance of active worker participation in reporting hazardous conditions (hazard reports) and maximizing inspections and observations in their respective work areas as early mitigation steps.
Moving forward, the company’s strategy will prioritize building a collaborative, competency-based OHS culture. This is deemed essential to ensure operational sustainability and productivity. “Ultimately, OHS is not just a regulatory obligation but a shared value to guarantee every worker returns home safe, healthy, and productive,” Saprianto concluded.
