LOA HAUR – As 2026 begins, the mining sector reignites its commitment to bolstering workplace safety culture. Following the latest directives from the Directorate General of Minerals and Coal (Minerba), PT Loa Haur held a solemn yet spirited ceremony commemorating National Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Month 2026 at the company’s operational site.
The event was led directly by PT Loa Haur’s Chief Mining Officer (CMO), Hartadji. In his address, he stressed the critical need for a cultural transformation in work practices—not merely to fulfill administrative obligations, but to embed safety deeply into every daily activity of mining personnel, in line with good mining standards.
Aligning with the National Theme
This year’s commemoration feels particularly special following the official adjustment to the national theme, issued via Decree No. B-198/MB.07/DBT.KP/2026 from the Directorate General of Minerals and Coal. PT Loa Haur now adopts the updated theme: “Building a Professional, Reliable, and Collaborative National Mining Safety Management Ecosystem.”
This theme change ensures alignment with national policies while sharpening the focus on enhancing system professionalism and reliability. PT Loa Haur’s management welcomes it as a pivotal moment to elevate on-site operational standards.
Strategic and Innovative Activity Lineup
From January 12 to February 12, 2026, PT Loa Haur has prepared a comprehensive program spanning strategic, promotional, and implementation aspects. Operations General Manager, Syarif Hidayatullah explained that the company will conduct regular Management Walkthroughs to verify field safety compliance and provide solutions for performance improvements.
“We want to hear directly about on-site challenges. Safety is the result of collaboration, not just top-down instructions,” Syarif asserted.
Ongoing Commitment
In line with the latest circular’s implementation guidelines, the company is also emphasizing safety reporting development and consistent application of the Mining Safety Management System (SMKP).
Fueled by the spirit of National OHS Month, PT Loa Haur commits to fostering a safe and healthy work environment. Ultimately, the core goal of every operation is to ensure every worker returns home safe and healthy each day.
“Let’s make professionalism and reliability the hallmark of our work at PT Loa Haur,” Syarif concluded.
