IBP Perkuat CSR Pendidikan, Dorong SDM & ESG KKGI

Samarinda – PT Insani Baraperkasa (IBP), a subsidiary of PT Resource Alam Indonesia Tbk (KKGI), has once again reaffirmed its commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR) through a series of education-focused initiatives. This effort is part of the company’s long-term sustainability strategy to enhance the quality of human capital in East Kalimantan, while also strengthening KKGI’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) performance.

Real Investment in Education and Future Generations

Through its Community Development and Empowerment Program (PPM), IBP has carried out a range of education initiatives, including the construction and management of TK & PAUD Insani Cendekia in Simpang Pasir, Samarinda; infrastructure improvements at SDN 020, SD 015 Tani Bhakti, SD 014 Bukit Pariaman, and SMP 13 Tani Bhakti; and full scholarships for outstanding students to complete their education at SMK Wirakrama 1 Garut.

In addition, IBP has distributed school equipment support, provided coaching for the Tani Bhakti Village Football School (SSB)—which regularly represents East Kalimantan at the national level—and organized community skill development programs aimed at fostering local economic independence.

“Through this program, we hope the community can experience tangible benefits—both in literacy improvement and in developing skills relevant to today’s needs,” said Ir. Saprianto, Head of Mining Engineering at PT IBP.

He emphasized that the company’s social responsibility programs are designed to build communities that are competitive, independent, and future-ready.
“We believe that communities around our operational areas should not only receive benefits but also become active partners in human capital development. When people are educated and skilled, sustainable development becomes a reality,” Saprianto added.

Sustained Commitment to ESG Principles

Dr. Ir. Agus Wiramsya Oscar, ST, MT, CPI, IPU, Director of PT IBP, stated that education remains a key pillar of the company’s sustainability roadmap.
“Education is the foundation of national progress. Therefore, our CSR initiatives are not limited to symbolic gestures but are directed toward long-term impact—through school facility development, teacher training programs, and scholarships for students across East Kalimantan,” he explained.

Local government representatives have also expressed appreciation for IBP’s initiatives. Adam Hudzdy Wardana, Head of Simpang Pasir Subdistrict, said that IBP’s CSR programs have made a meaningful contribution to improving access to education in the region.
“IBP’s programs have been consistent and impactful, particularly for early childhood and kindergarten education. We hope these efforts continue to expand, as they greatly assist the government in meeting community education needs,” he said.

Supporting KKGI’s ESG and Long-Term Value Creation

IBP’s consistency in executing social and educational initiatives plays a significant role in KKGI’s ESG strategy, particularly within the energy and mining sector. Strengthening local human capital contributes to improved operational efficiency and long-term productivity.

By maintaining a balanced approach between profit, people, and planet, KKGI and PT Insani Baraperkasa continue to demonstrate their active role in building a sustainable future—positioning mining not merely as resource extraction, but as a means of empowering communities and shaping the nation’s future.
